Privacy Notice

Scope and how to contact us

This notice covers the paperRR website, text-analysis requests, generated reports, and report-ID verification. The service is operated by Shanghai Infinite Imagination Information Technology Co., Ltd. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to pattinghead@outlook.com. We do not currently offer user accounts, a privacy dashboard, or an automated deletion portal.

Information we handle and where it comes from

We receive information directly from you when you submit text for analysis, select a document type, complete a CAPTCHA, verify a report ID, or contact us. A report request may include the submitted text, the selected document type, a CAPTCHA ticket and random string, and network-source information needed to complete and protect the request.

The analysis produces a report containing scores and evidence derived from the submitted text. When a new report is issued, the service also creates limited issuance metadata, including the report ID, issuance time, report and model versions, language, document type, character and segment counts, key ratios, and classification bands.

Please do not submit personal data, confidential information, or other sensitive material unless it is necessary and you have the authority to process it.

How and why we use information

We use submitted information to provide the analysis and report you request; apply service limits; prevent replay, fraud, and automated abuse; issue and verify report records; maintain service reliability; respond to questions; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the relevant basis may depend on the activity. Processing needed to return a requested analysis is intended to support steps you request and performance of the service. Security, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and report integrity are intended to support legitimate operational interests. We may also process information when required by law. These statements describe the current service design and are not a determination that a particular law applies to every user or request.

paperRR uses automated analysis to describe text characteristics. paperRR does not use that analysis to make a legal or similarly significant decision about you. Other people may misuse a report, which is why the service terms prohibit relying on it as the sole basis for high-impact decisions.

What is stored and what report verification reveals

The current production design does not write submitted text or report content to the quota database or access logs. To enforce an anonymous daily limit, the quota database stores the billing date, a source-IP digest created with HMAC-SHA256, request state, and related timestamps; it does not store the raw IP address. CAPTCHA tickets are used during a request, and a purpose-specific ticket digest is retained temporarily to prevent reuse.

Issuance summaries record source length in Chinese characters or English words; older records may provide only a character count.

The report registry separately stores the limited issuance metadata described above, but not the submitted text, segment evidence, or full report. Anyone who has the complete report ID and passes the CAPTCHA can retrieve the issuance time, original length, AI-text share, language, document type, and model version. Verification does not establish that the requester is the report author, and it does not reveal the submitted text or complete report. Treat a report ID as shareable information and disclose it only when you are comfortable sharing that summary.

Retention and deletion

The quota database has no scheduled background deletion job. A later quota-reservation request triggers cleanup: expired reservations are removed, successful records from before that request's Shanghai billing day are removed, and CAPTCHA-ticket digests older than 48 hours are removed. If no later reservation occurs, records may remain longer, so the service does not promise a fixed final deletion time.

Report issuance summaries are retained long term and currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Verification rate-limit records are removed during later requests using a rolling 24-hour window. Submitted text and full report content are not placed in the quota database or access logs under the current production design.

Service providers and international processing

The public service uses Tencent Cloud CAPTCHA to resist automated abuse. When you complete a CAPTCHA, the ticket, random string, and source IP are sent to that provider for verification and are handled under the provider's own terms and privacy practices.

The service operator is based in China, and service providers may process information in jurisdictions other than the one where you live. Privacy protections and government-access rules can differ between jurisdictions. We do not claim in this notice that a particular adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, UK transfer addendum, or other transfer mechanism applies to every request. If you require details about arrangements applicable to your use, contact us before submitting personal data.

Privacy rights that may apply

Your rights depend on where you live, the law that applies, and the reason for processing. In the EEA or United Kingdom, these may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Some rights are limited or may not apply to particular records, including where the service must preserve integrity, security, or legal records.

California residents may have rights to know, correct, or delete personal information, to opt out of a sale or sharing where applicable, to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and to receive equal service when exercising covered rights. The current product design does not include selling personal information or sharing it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This statement does not concede that the CCPA applies to paperRR or to every request.

To submit a request, email pattinghead@outlook.com and describe the record or interaction involved. We may need enough information to locate a record and reasonably verify the request. Because paperRR has no user accounts and does not retain submitted text in the stores described above, we may be unable to associate some operational records with you or recover content that was never retained.

Children's privacy

paperRR is not directed to children. Do not submit a child's personal information unless you are legally authorized to do so and the use is appropriate under applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information through the service, contact us with enough detail to investigate.

Changes, questions, and complaints

We may revise this notice as the service, its storage practices, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the published version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when the updated practices take effect where reasonably practicable.
